Waiting on Wednesday (6)

Now Playing: Raise Your Weapon - deadmau5

Hosted over at Breaking the Spine

This week, I'm waiting for Clockwork Princess, the end installment of Cassandra Clare's The Infernal Devices series. I don't think I've done reviews on Clockwork Angel or Prince over here, but there will be. Possibly tomorrow. There will be tears, heartache and the hurling of things at the end, I can just feel it. *bounces*

Clockwork Princess
Release: 3/19/2013
Goodreads says: Danger intensifies for the Shadowhunters as the New York Times bestselling Infernal Devices trilogy comes to a close.

If the only way to save the world was to destroy what you loved most, would you do it?

The clock is ticking. Everyone must choose.

Passion. Power. Secrets. Enchantment.
Danger closes in around the Shadowhunters in the final installment of the bestselling Infernal Devices trilogy.
If you're like me and just DYING for Clockwork Princess, may I interest you in Daniel freaking Sharman reading the Prologue and first chapter or CP2

Also, why not torture yourselves by rewatching the bitchin' trailer for CP2?!

A Call to Arms: YA Crush Tourney

Now Playing: I'm Alive - Shinedown

Hey guys! I'm back! Yay!!! But I'm here on urgent #YACrushTourney news. Today's matches are between Patch Cipriano, bad guy with a heart of gold, versus Simon from Cassandra Clare's The Mortal Instruments series (vote for whichever you like, but vote all the same). Meanwhile, the match that has everyone buzzing is the Adrian vs. Alec match. Now if you've been following the tourneys, you'll know anytime any of Ms. Clare's men are involved, their opponent is smushed.

A moment of silence for the fallen who were unfortunate enough to be placed against any of her men.

*silence*

A few of the notable; Finnick Odair, Four from Divergent, Vincent from Die for Me, Noah from Mara Dyer, Gale Hawthorne, Tod from the Soul Screamers series,  Etienne St. Clair,  Zachary Moore and more.

Alright, but with #TeamAdrian, we're gonna give Alec and any other Shadowhunter we may be up against a run for their money. Luckily, we were able to get the jump with Adrian in the lead. Let's keep it that way!!!

That means all you teams for the boys listed above, this is a call to arms to defend YA boys everywhere. Team Kilt, Team Finnick, all of you! Don't succumb to Clare's men's charms and good looks, and give your vote to Adrian. If we all band together, we can give them a match they'll never forget!

If that doesn't persuade you, will this?

There's a storm coming, Mr. Lightwood. You and your friends better secure your votes, because when #TeamAdrian hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could leave a gap of votes so large and leave so little for the rest of swoon-worthy boys you trampled in your quest.

VOTE NOW!

Another Tourney!

Hey guys! I'm such a bad blogger but I'm back! Recently while prowling Twitter, The YA Sisterhood said their Heroines Tourney will be starting soon. Five days from today to be specific.

First things first, a round of applause for YA Sisterhood, for holding two Tourney's in the span of 5 months!!

Now, for all you who live under rocks, or don't compulsively check Twitter like me (I have no control, I swear), The Heroines Tourney is something like the Crush Tourney (which was this summer, had boys, frequent server crashes, and SO MANY CUTE BOYS) except the Heroines are about the leading ladies and each girl fights her way to be to the top (because similar to Highlander, there can only be one). Among them will be Aura from Shade, Kat from Heist Society, Emerson from Hourglass, Rose from Vampire Academy,Tessa from Clockwork Angel, Katniss from Hunger Games, Hermoine from Harry Potter, and Izzy from The Mortal Instruments. That's right, some of the most kick-ass girls will be in this years Heroine Tourney. There will be people advocating for them in the tourney, stating why their girl is awesome and deserves to move up the ladder and all we do is vote. You can all show your support by clicking here to find out who's repping them and grab the button for that girl, as well as the YA Heroines Tourney button. I promote everyone on Twitter shamelessly and report on the Tournament (since I'm just that good!) to all the Tweeters. You can all help and promote them on twitter too, if you have one, or you can spread it through your blog!

YAY!! follow my twitter @JazminLabrada for crazy tweets and updates on Twitter.

*Drumroll* The Mortal Instruments

Today's blog-post(s): in which I blog about a trilogy. Hopefully, I get everything down and correct.
The Mortal Instruments series is by Cassandra Clare (AKA A GODDESS) and I haven't blogged about these books. Guys, WHAT THE FUDGE?! WHY HASN'T ANYONE POINTED THIS OUT.

*stares at the archives* oohhh, this is my blog. my responsibility. =)

KK, I shall start with the beginning: City of Bones

Clary Fray has been normal most her life. Then one night while she's at the Pandemonium club with her BFF Simon (the geek), she sees three teens covered in markings. Yep, these guys are the Shadowhunters (which can also be referred to as the Slayers in this story) and Clary has the "Sight". Then her life isn't the same because of the Sight meanwhile, the Shadowhunters are trying to prevent a war with Valentine (AKA the BIG BAD). See Valentine here has been attempting to get the Mortal Instruments when during one try he manages to get one of the instruments (the Mortal Cup, Sword and something else) and then the man is HELL-BENT on ridding the world of those who aren't Shadowhunters and the rest of the cast (Alec,Simon,Clary,Jace,Isabelle,Magnus, Maryse,Max and a butt-load of other characters) have to stop Valentine. Now the Mortal Instruments series is super great. It has lots of action, plenty of romance, a love triangle, and one hell of a roller coaster ride through the entire series. That said I didn't love Clary so much. She was whiny and a bit of a Mary-Sue, however there were times where she redeemed herself but overall Clary was one character Cassandra Clare could've worked on for a little longer.

Progress Report

Well hello blog readers. As many of you know, I've mentioned a couple times that I was writing a book. Well today, I finished it. The very first rough draft. I'm now going to send it to the two crit partners so I can make the book fabulous because yanno, I can then send it out to agents and such.
In other unrelated news, I'm going to go to the Romantic Times Book Fair Convention Teen Day where I'll meet authors, get autographed books, maybe auction them off here, as well as going to the Mystery Galaxy Midnight Party With Holly Black and Cassandra Clare where we'll countdown to the release of City of Fallen Angels and Red Glove, sequel to White Cat.
I'll take pics and post them on here when I get the chance.
So peace out and take care of yourselves,
Jazmin.

:D

p.s I'll let you know how the book goes but first the working title, Chosen (The Marked Divinity series)

ADIOS!
